Fitness Athletes’ Steps to Reach Around the World
Fitness Athletes' Steps to Reach Around the World
On 18 April, PUML goes worldwide with the launch of its Global Challenge featuring some of Australia’s leading women in sport. Pioneering their own Train With Me Program, this global launch marks a monumental pivot in how young people and athletes can engage together to create healthy communities built around more than just aesthetic fitness goals.
Health begins with healthy support networks. Social media culture has ushered in a way for people to engage with their fitness and wellness icons. But the impacts have not always resulted in health. Peering in from the outside can leave people feeling more isolated and their goals evermore unachievable. Connecting directly with a community — led by those same fitness and wellness icons — allows everyday people to not only follow but to participate and receive direct motivation, encouragement and support.
Athletes and fitness influencers can facilitate more positive engagement, share their real (non-curated) feelings and beliefs and build a community around solidarity and genuine affinity.
The future is in the fitness metaverse, and PUML is proudly empowering athletes to lead the movement.
Kiera Austin kicks off the Global Challenge
Australian netball player, Kiera Austin, is the first athlete to start the program in April. Hosting a Step Challenge Kiera aims to introduce people to the benefits of an active lifestyle and, even more important, a supportive community.
When recovering from an ACL injury in 2021, Kiera had to step back from her intense fitness regime to focus on her rehabilitation. While she missed her training, what she missed more was the support system she had around her in her team. Seeking out like-minded people, Kiera joined the community on PUML, connected with others who had also faced injuries and saw the power of community-based networks.
Built on the blockchain, PUML builds communities that can reward each other for participation. While at the same time enabling engagement with usually unreachable athletes and inspiring leaders in fitness and wellbeing.
GIANTS Netball MVP in 2020 and Constellation Cup winner in 2021, Kiera now wants to inspire others to join her in challenges to find joy in an active online network where genuine connections can be made and fostered.
Kiera’s challenge will run for 30 days and is available to everyone on the PUML app. Active challenge participants can earn PUML coins as they train and even Kiera Austin NFTs, completely unique, collectable and authenticated on the blockchain.
NFTs are also tickets to exclusive events open only to NFT holders.
