For several years, Fulton founder Libie experienced back pain and founder Daniel experienced foot pain. They thought they were just experiencing normal aches and pains and that the pain was just a normal part of life. They soon realized that they weren’t alone and that these aches were incredibly common among healthy adults of all ages.
They wondered: why did people consider pain normal?
They learned that many pains they had were actually caused by their shoes. Most of today’s shoes lack proper arch support, which causes the body to be out of alignment from the ground up.
However, when looking for supportive insoles, they found that the options available were confusing, ineffective, or unsustainable. They decided to build Fulton, a modern brand of arch supports designed to improve whole body health from the foot up. They envisioned a world in which the shoes we wear are not just good for our bodies but also for the environment.
